While formal Ballet training normally starts at 3 years old, baby ballet classes are a great introduction for toddlers and their parents to the world of ballet and dance. They will look forward every week to getting dressed up and meeting up with other toddlers to share activities that will stimulate their imagination and help them develop strength, co-ordination and confidence.

Mum’s, Dad’s and Carers

18 mths – 2yrs

Sharing the class with their grown up is a really important part of the development of your child at such an early age. Toddlers tend to still be clingy to their loved ones and will need you to help guide them through the movement and dance routines by participating in all movements and exercises.

2yrs – 3yrs

From the age of 2 years old toddlers generally become more independent and will be happy to take the lead by themselves in the safe knowledge that their grown up is in the room.

3yrs+

By the time a toddler reaches 3 years old they should have developed confidence and be independent enough to start their formal pre-primary Ballet training without the need for their grown up’s presence. Usually it will be the grown up who will find it more difficult to let go of their hand!
